Unseasonal Rains Wreak Havoc in Maharashtra, Maratha Protesters Oppose Chhagan Bhujbal’s Inspection Tour

Maratha protester Manoj Jarange Patil and OBC leader Chhagan Bhujbal have been accusing each other. The impact of this seems to have fallen on Chhagan Bhujbal's inspection tour, and the Maratha brothers in Nashik strongly opposed Bhujbal's visit.

November 30, 2023: In a turn of events in Maharashtra, unseasonal rains have unleashed havoc in the state over the past four days, causing significant damage to farmers’ crops. State Minister Chhagan Bhujbal embarked on an inspection tour of the affected areas today, aiming to assess the extent of the damage and provide necessary support.

However, the situation took a tense turn as Maratha protesters vehemently opposed Chhagan Bhujbal’s inspection tour. The conflict between Maratha protester Manoj Jarange Patil and OBC leader Chhagan Bhujbal, revolving around the issue of Maratha Reservation, appears to have spilled over into Bhujbal’s official duties.

The disturbance reached a peak when Chhagan Bhujbal’s convoy was intercepted in Lasalgaon by Maratha community activists as he was en route to inspect the damaged area in Niphad taluk. Attempts to intercept the convoy at Kotamgaon were thwarted by the police, but as the convoy proceeded, protesters displayed black flags and chanted slogans, demanding Bhujbal to go back.

This clash highlights the growing tension and animosity surrounding the Maratha-OBC conflict in the state, with the political and social implications now affecting even official duties and relief efforts in the aftermath of the unseasonal rains. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of all involved parties and to address the pressing concerns arising from both the weather-related damage and the ongoing sociopolitical discord.
