September 29, 2023: In a recent visit to Washim, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari made headlines with a series of promises and plans for the region’s development. The prominent Union Road Transport and Highways Minister inaugurated the National Highway 161 from Waranga to Akola, a monumental project costing a whopping Rs 3695 crore. During the inauguration ceremony, Gadkari took the opportunity to engage with the local audience, making several significant statements.

Gadkari emphasized his commitment to truthfulness in politics, asserting, “I don’t give false promises, I don’t tell lies; whatever I say, I do. In my 43 years of life, I have done what I have said. No journalist can tell me that I said something and didn’t follow through.”

Looking ahead to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Gadkari unveiled his unique campaign strategy. He stated, “In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, I have decided that I will not put up posters, I will not put up banners, I will not serve tea and water. Those who want to vote, vote. There’s no need to lie in politics; if you want to vote, do it willingly.”

Furthermore, he reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people honestly, promising not to indulge in corruption. “I will serve you honestly. Poverty, hunger, and unemployment should be eliminated in this country,” Gadkari declared passionately.

During his visit, Gadkari also witnessed the dilapidated condition of the old national road in Washim. In response, he assured the local populace that the road would be reconstructed with cement concrete. However, he stressed the importance of addressing encroachments to facilitate this much-needed improvement.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s visit to Washim not only showcased his dedication to transparent politics but also outlined his vision for infrastructure development in the region. His commitment to serving the people honestly and eradicating societal issues reflects his unwavering determination to bring positive change to the constituency.
