Main News: Decisions and Vision for Baramati

Sharad Pawar began by acknowledging his focus on encouraging new talent within the party, emphasizing the absence of rebellions during his tenure. Reflecting on the past 10 to 15 years, he admitted a lack of attention to Baramati, clarifying that decisions regarding appointments and responsibilities in the region were not actively made. Pawar asserted that the party’s formation and its founder are well-known, dismissing the need for commentary on the matter.

Expressing satisfaction with providing opportunities to new faces, Pawar stressed the importance of enhancing the locality’s reputation. He urged a collaborative effort, stating, “Someone should listen to someone,” while affirming his commitment to fostering fresh talent within the party.

Concerns Over Ethanol Production Policy

Transitioning to policy matters, Pawar highlighted the growing demand for ethanol due to the increasing number of vehicles in the country. While acknowledging the promotion of ethanol, he criticized the current central government policy, citing deficiencies. Pawar disclosed that he had conveyed public sentiments on the issue to Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah, emphasizing the need for adjustments in the policy to meet the rising demand.

Opinion on Opinion Polls and Sports Controversy

Addressing the recent state assembly elections and opinion polls, Sharad Pawar cautioned against drawing conclusions solely based on surveys. He cited discrepancies between survey predictions and actual election results, advising against overreliance on poll data.

Pawar also commented on the delay in the suspension of the Indian Wrestling Council’s new body by the Sports Ministry. Expressing dissatisfaction, he emphasized that the treatment of women sportspersons who brought pride to India deserved fairness. Pawar criticized the delayed decision, stating it should have been taken earlier to address the concerns of the players and maintain the integrity of Indian sports.

In a final note, Pawar revealed his discussion with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge about the inclusion of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi in the India Aghadi meeting, showcasing ongoing efforts to strengthen political alliances.
