Pune | August 19,2023 : In a seismic shift in the political landscape, Maharashtra’s NCP party faced a jolt on July 2nd as Ajit Pawar broke ranks with Sharad Pawar to join forces with the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance, accompanied by a group of nine. Responding to the challenge, Sharad Pawar has launched a vigorous campaign across the state, holding meetings to consolidate party support and counter the rebellious faction.
This battle for supremacy has now extended to Western Maharashtra, with Ajit Pawar assigned the task of thwarting Sharad Pawar’s influence in the region. Covering districts including Pune, Satara, Sangli, and Solapur, Ajit Pawar seeks to bolster his own faction’s presence. The upcoming elections in this region promise an intense uncle versus nephew showdown, echoing the political struggles of the past.
