MLA Bachchu Kadu Clashes with Police Over Amravati Assembly Ground Dispute

Amravati MLA Bachchu Kadu Engages in Heated Dispute Over Assembly Ground

April 23, 2024: Tensions escalated in Amravati as Prahar MLA Bachchu Kadu found himself embroiled in a heated confrontation with the police over the utilization of the assembly ground. The dispute arose when Kadu alleged that despite initially granting permission for his meeting, the police revoked it to accommodate a gathering led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Expressing his vehement displeasure, Kadu tore apart the permission letter before the eyes of law enforcement officials, accusing them of prioritizing Shah’s event over his own. He vehemently argued that the police, tasked with upholding law and order, were now exacerbating the situation.

Scheduled to utilize the Sciencecore ground on the 24th, Kadu found himself sidelined as preparations commenced for Shah’s gathering. Questioning the legitimacy of such actions, he challenged the authorities’ decision, insinuating political bias by alleging that police officers adorned their vehicles with BJP flags at his behest.

Kadu’s frustration reached its peak as he queried the police on the legality of permitting Shah’s meeting on the same grounds allocated to him. He raised concerns over potential breaches of law and order, casting doubt on the impartiality of the police force.

Amidst the turmoil, Kadu contemplated lodging a complaint with the Election Commission, questioning the efficacy of such actions in ensuring fair play. He also accused the BJP of orchestrating a ploy to provoke a confrontation, speculating that they intended to exploit security concerns to silence dissent.

In a bold assertion of his intentions, Kadu warned of mass mobilization, vowing to stage a peaceful protest with thousands in attendance. He underscored the determination of his supporters, declaring their readiness to resort to hunger strikes should their democratic rights continue to be infringed upon.
