Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: Prakash Ambedkar’s Condition for Congress Participation

Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi President Demands Inclusion in INDIA Aghadi and MAVIA

January 17, 2024: In a significant development, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has kickstarted the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, covering a staggering 6700 km from Manipur to Mumbai. The 66-day yatra is slated to traverse through 15 states, encompassing 100 Lok Sabha and 337 assembly constituencies. This monumental journey comes on the heels of Rahul Gandhi’s earlier Bharat Jodo Yatra, which spanned from Kanyakumari to Kashmir from September 2022 to January 2023 and saw widespread participation from various leaders.

Among the notable invitees to this yatra is Prakash Ambedkar, the president of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA). Ambedkar, a prominent figure in the fight against the BJP and RSS, has, however, placed a conditional acceptance on his participation. In a letter addressed to Rahul Gandhi, Ambedkar outlined the condition that VBA must be formally included in INDIA Aghadi or MAVIA. Despite repeated attempts, VBA claims it has not been included in these alliances, making Ambedkar’s participation contingent on this inclusion.
