Amol Kolhe Challenges Notion of Political Loyalty Amidst Party Split

Shirur | April 16, 2024: Amol Kolhe, the candidate representing Sharad Chandra Pawar’s Mahavikas Aghadi party, emphasized the importance of self-respect and loyalty to the party during his visit to Karandi, Shirur. Kolhe, currently touring Ambegaon Shirur taluka, addressed the villagers, highlighting the recent split within the party. He questioned the credibility of flaunting stolen achievements and urged for a reevaluation of allegiance.

During his speech, Kolhe scrutinized the efforts of leaders from Mahayutti, particularly targeting Devendra Fadnavis, the former Chief Minister. He pointed out the frequency of visits by prominent figures to Shirur constituency, emphasizing the collective power of the common people over individual politicians. Kolhe also addressed the issue of onion exports, stating that his actions were driven by the welfare of farmers rather than political gain.

Kolhe criticized the central government’s policies regarding farmers’ welfare, citing the disparity between the meager financial assistance provided through PM Kisan Nidhi and the significant losses faced by onion farmers. He highlighted the plight of farmers who, despite producing substantial yields, suffer from substantial financial setbacks due to government policies.
